Stu Marshall on the Masters Of Shred XII
Interview for "Reborn in Fire"
"Shredding is an emotion. It's conveying an emotion. That's all it is. It's getting into that Ferrari and hitting it into high gear; and flooring it; and going hard. You know, when you look at the gods of shred, they combine almost all of the same elements; incredible technique that has been developed over years of practice, you know, you can't cut corners, and it's attitude. They infuse the attitude into the playing. It's an emotion; it's a feel. The greatest shred of all is a combination of those things, in my opinion."

We wanted to take him from the sort of comic-book horror creature and turn him into something a bit more straightforward so that he became even more threatening.  " Melvyn Grant has since drawn several more covers for Iron Maiden, making him the band's second most-frequent artist after Riggs.

Angel Vivaldi
ANGEL VIVALDI (NY,US)

Sputnikmusic.com Review
"Guitar virtuoso status in metal isn't what it used to be. Not in a bad way; it's merely changing - evolving to fit the needs of a new generation. The new wave of great guitarists is set on establishing themselves in their own way, rather than simply following in the footsteps of greats such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson. No, the new virtuosos are dedicated to a newer sound. Incorporating musicians extremely talented in all fields, including newly evolving sounds coming out of the "djent" metal underground, these musicians choose to build a temple around the guitar, rather than a monument to it. And when they lay the bricks of that temple, the name Angel Vivaldi will be read alongside others such as Tosin Abasi, Chris Letchford, and Ben Sharp."  read more

XANDER DEMOS (PA, US)

DangerDog.com Review
"Fundamentally, if you're going to step up and present your own material to the world, you need two basic things: the essential guitar chops and solid song composition. Fortunately, Demos has both. To the former, Guitarcadia is a guitar, and a guitar players, album; it's all about Xander's licks, and he can keep pace with the best. His work on the fret board is speedy and bracing, mostly shred noodling with accents of rock and fusion akin to Moore and Vai." read more
