Assorted Collection 54 - Various Metal Artists

A lesson in metal you won't soon forget!  We are back to torment every pretty person in your life with the loudest, heaviest, most obnoxious and unapologetic metal show since the great Tony Iommi concocted his plastic finger tips to play the first notes of the song Black Sabbath! We are here professing the voice of true heavy ass music which only the most pissed-off, weird and cool people like yourself would appreciate.

The only show where the old school and the new school clash together!

"Metal Rules, if you don't like then DIE!" -Paul Baloff (Exodus)

PLAYLIST OF DOOM!

1. THE HELL - OLD JACKS, NEW JACKS, Album: Groovehammer (2014)
The Hell
Review
This brutal five-piece is now out to do the same to the rest of the world, using the release of their second album, Groovehammer, on 8 July as a convenient starting gun...When so many similar bands seem to carry gimmicks that distract from the music, it’s certainly refreshing to experience a band who, despite the rather jagged-edge finish they give everything, provide very little on which to focus on other than what they’re playing. 2. SLAYER - IMPLODE, New track (2014)
Tom Slayer
IMPLODE -lyrics
So is it just me or everyone can see the world drowning in its own blood?
Humanity's declined, spanned over time, a fossil drying in the mud
It's deception and decree that germinate and see how deception growing all around
Is this beginning or the end? In darkness we descend and I can't wait to see it all go down

Standing in the room only for World War 10
Front row center to the ultimate end
Mankind comes to believing this sloth
Take on the charades till we murdered our souls

Like a fire storm reaching out of control
Demons reaching all, it's taking its toll
And deep down in your personal hell
Fishing out to everyone but never yourself

Extermination Of The Swine

Sick of this shit called power scene
Lash on forth, give them what they need
Bring all the devils in the world, conspire
Acting with malice, only feel the fire

No wonder people of religion are obsessed
All they want from us you shall get
Arrogance will never lift the fools' regime
Know you gonna understand what I mean

Implode
With Resurrection And Divine
Implode
Extermination Of The Swine

So many stupid fall, I said it a million times
There's nothing looking over us
It's just mistakes you made out of your own hate
The personality in each of us

Society will bleed so what's it gonna be
Destructive road or go
And if I do the wrong through teachings of a song
I'm pretty sure that God still hates us all

Standing in the room only for World War 10
Front row center to the ultimate end
Mankind comes to believing this sloth
Take on the charades till we murdered our souls

No wonder people of religion are obsessed
All they want from us you shall get
Arrogance will never lift the fools' regime
Know you gonna understand what I mean

3. VOMITILE - COMMENCING ASSAULT, Album: Mastering the Art of Killing, (2014)
Vomitile band

Biography

Formed in early 2007 the band released a 7-track EP in 2010 and three years later their debut album Igniting Chaos was released. They have played live numerous times, including support slots for legendary SODOM and OBITUARY. VOMITILE’s style is pure old school death metal with some melodic elements. Superb deathly growls and thunderous drumming along with fierce riffing make this release a must for any devoted death metal fan! The album was mastered by Andy Classen, at Stage One studios in Germany, who has also worked with ASPHYX, DESTRUCTION and ROTTING CHRIST among others. website “Mastering the Art of Killing” is set for release on October 3rd (EU) and November 11th (US) on Pitch Black Records.

4. CARCASS - HEARTWORK, Album: Heartwork, (1993)
Carcass Band
Album Notes
Heartwork marks Carcass' return after the self-imposed hiatus that followed 1991's Necroticism: Descanting the Insalubrious. It's also the pioneering grindcore outfit's breakthrough release, successfully grafting melody onto the existing muscle of Carcass' punishing antimusic. Some purists might decry its melodic breaks for soloing or nods toward conventional structure. But Heartwork is that rare album that so carefully dissects and reconstructs its original form that its additional body parts seem like they were there all along. Readd more at All Music.
The sculpture depicted in the cover art, "Life Support 1993", was designed by H.R. Giger.

5. AZOOMA - Encapsulated Delusion, Album: A Hymn of the Vicious Monster (2014)
Azooma band
Album Notes
AZOOMA spend most of 2012 and 2013 writing and recording new material for the band's debut EP, "A Hymn Of The Vicious Monster", which sounds heavy, brutal and fast. They mixed old school death metal elements with some Persian ones, which run through their veins, resulting in 6 heavy masterpiece tracks. In 2014, AZOOMA contacted the Iranian heavy metal Journalist and Chief Editor of Metal Shock Finland, Mohsen Fayyazi, for help to reach a suitable record label for releasing this EP. Mohsen accepted their request and they inked a deal. AZOOMA signed a contract with Spanish record company Xtreem Music. Now, "A Hymn Of The Vicious Monster" was released worldwide on June 15th through Xtreem Music. Read more

6. JUDAS PRIEST - THE HELLION/ELECTRIC EYE, Album: Screaming for Vengeance (1982)
Judas Priest 1982
Album Notes
Judas Priest rebounded from the shaky Point of Entry with Screaming for Vengeance, arguably the strongest album of their early-'80s commercial period. Having moved a bit too far into simplistic hard rock, Vengeance found the band refocusing on heavy metal, and achieving a greater balance between commercialism and creativity. The results were catchy and accessible, yet harder-hitting, and without the awkwardly apparent calculation that informed the weakest moments of the album's two predecessors. Read more at All Music.

Screaming for Vengeance 1982
Electric Eye - Lyrics

Up here in space
I'm looking down on you.
My lasers trace
Everything you do.
You think you've private lives
Think nothing of the kind.
There is no true escape

I'm watching all the time.
I'm made of metal
My circuits gleam.
I am perpetual
I keep the country clean.

I'm elected electric spy
I protected electric eye.
Always in focus
You can't feel my stare.
I zoom into you
You don't know I'm there.
I take a pride in probing all your secret moves
My tearless retina takes pictures that can prove.

Electric eye, in the sky
Feel my stare, always there
's nothing you can do about it.
Develop and expose
I feed upon your every thought
And so my power grows.
Protected. Detective. Electric eye.

7. SAXON - WHEELS OF STEEL, Album: Wheels of Steel (1980)
saxon band
Album Notes
After finding themselves a qualified heavy metal producer in Pete Hinton, the members of Saxon recovered from their disappointing debut in fine form with 1980's career-defining Wheels of Steel. As well as effectively setting the template for the band's most successful efforts, the album's songs positively gleamed with a bright, metallic sheen similar to that exhibited by the chrome eagle hoisting a motorcycle wheel on its iconic cover. Wasting no time with niceties, Wheels of Steel kicked straight into fifth gear with one of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal's signature anthems, "Motorcycle Man." A proto-speed metal classic, the song also reintroduced the oft-recurring biker themes that would rear up again on the even more frenzied "Freeway Mad" and the album's epic title track. 8. Mercyful Fate - Curse of the Pharaohs, Album: Melissa, (1983)
Mercyful fate band
Album Notes
Mercyful Fate's debut album, Melissa, took Black Sabbath's dark occult obsessions to an extreme, fusing them with the speed and tightened, twin-guitar riffing attack of British metal bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. But the band had a distinctive sound of its own, thanks to the neo-classical flourishes of guitarists Hank Shermann and Michael Denner and the unpredictable vocal leaps of King Diamond, who could jump from a deathly growl to an unearthly falsetto wail in the next line. Curse of the Pharaohs - Lyrics
Away out in Egypt in the valley of kings
Where the mummified pharaohs
Pretend dead in their sleep
Don't touch, never ever steal
Unless you're in for the kill
Or you'll be hit by the curse of the pharaohs
Yes, you'll be hit and the curse is on you
Now if you're breakin' the seals
And disturbing the peace
Then you're startin' up a curse
Bringin' evil disease
Don't touch, never ever steal
Unless you're in for the kill
Or you'll be hit by the curse of the pharaohs
Yes, you'll be hit and the curse is on you
The curse of the pharaohs can be so deadly
Or just destroying your future
Takin' it all shady
Don't touch, never ever steal
Unless you're in for the kill
Or you'll be hit by the curse of the pharaohs
Yes, you'll be hit and the curse is on you

9. Ozzy Osbourne - Miracle Man, Album: No Rest for the Wicked, (1988)
Ozzy Prince of Darkness
Album Notes
Things start to improve for Ozzy on No Rest for the Wicked, as Zakk Wylde replaces Jake E. Lee on guitar and Osbourne comes up with his best set since 1983. Again, it's not quite up to the level of excellence his Blizzard of Ozz band achieved, but Osbourne sounds somewhat rejuvenated, and Wylde is a more consistently interesting guitarist than Lee. Highlights include "Miracle Man" (in which Ozzy gloats about the downfall of the TV preachers who had long attacked him as an agent of Satan).

Miracle Man - Lyrics
I'm looking for a Miracle Man
That tells me no lies
I'm looking for a Miracle Man
Who's not in disguise
I don't know where he'll come from
And I don't know where he's been
But it's not our Jimmy Sinner
Because he's so obscene

Miracle Man got busted
Miracle Man got busted

Today I saw a Miracle Man
On TV cryin'
Such a hypocritical man
Born again, dying

He don't know where he's going
But we know just where he's been
'Twas our little Jimmy Sinner
That I saw on the screen

Miracle Man got busted
Miracle Man got busted
Miracle Man got busted
Miracle Man

A Devil with a crucifix
Brimstone and fire
He needs another carnal fix
To take him higher and higher
Now Jimmy, he got busted
With his pants down
Repent ye wretched sinner
Self righteous clown

10. QUEENSRYCHE - DO YOU BELIEVE IN LOVE, Album: Operation: Mindcrime (1988)
Queensryche band
Album Notes
Queensrÿche scored their breakthrough success with the ambitious concept album Operation: Mindcrime, which tells the story of a fortune hunter whose disillusionment with Reagan-era American society leads him to join a shadowy plot to assassinate corrupt leaders. For such a detailed story line (there is also a tragic romance thrown in), the band keeps its focus remarkably well, and the music is just as ambitious, featuring a ten-minute track with orchestrations by Michael Kamen. Those experiments don't tend to work as well as the tighter, more melodic prog metal songs, which are frequently gems, especially the singles "Eyes of a Stranger" and "I Don't Believe in Love." 11. KREATOR - PLEASURE TO KILL, Album: Pleasure to Kill, (1986)
Kreator live
Album Notes
As fierce and unyielding as the group's debut, Endless Pain, was, Pleasure to Kill provides double the sonic carnage and superior material. Standout tracks include the syncopated "Riot of Violence" and the sprawling closer "Awakening of the Gods." Pleasure to Kill might not be the best recording from Kreator, but in many ways, it could be the most significant. Read more.

Pleasure to Kill - Lyrics
Day turns to night as I rise from my grave
Black was the hole were I laid
Stalking the city to seek out your blood
I love when it showers from my blade
Your body is so pretty but how will it look
When my perverted lust is stilled
No one to save you no parents or friends
Because they've already got killed
My only aim is to take many lives
The more the better I feel
My only pleasure is to hear many cries
From those tortured by my steel
The colour of your blood from your open body
Is all I wanted to see
Tasting the blood from your lips as you die
Means satisfaction to me
Pleasure to kill
Hear my heartbeat as you see me upon you
Tears in your eyes I do not care
Listen now to the motor of my chainsaw
Open your eyes don't be scared
Look into my eyes do you see any love?
The only thing is agony
Now I can't wait to give you the good pain
Die now and be free
My only aim is to take many lives
The more the better I feel
My only pleasure is to hear many cries
From those tortured by my steel
The colour of your blood from your open body
Is all I wanted to see
Tasting the blood from your lips as you die
Means satisfaction to me
Pleasure to kill

Now that my mission is done
Your body forgotten has been killed
I return to the cemetery
And my bloodlust is stilled
My coffin is open for me
I lay down and rest
Nothing will set me free
And so I kill until excess
Day turns to night as I rise from my grave
Black was the hole where I laid
Stalking the city to seek out your blood
I love when it showers from my blade
Your body is so pretty but how will it look
When my perverted lust is stilled
No one to save you no parents or friends
Because they've already got killed
My only aim is to take many lives
The more the better I feel
My only pleasure is to hear many cries
From those tortured by my steel
The colour of your blood from your open body
Is all I wanted to see
Tasting the blood from your lips as you die
Means satisfaction to me
Pleasure to kill

12. TESTAMENT - OVER THE WALL, Album: The Legcy (1987)
Testament band
Album Notes
Signed by thrash metal mecca Megaforce Records, the group lent its original name to the following year's remarkable debut, The Legacy. Hailed as an instant classic within thrash metal circles, the album's coupling of furious riffs and harmonic sensibility stood second only to Metallica in controlled power, technical delivery, and sheer confidence. It also benefited from Megaforce's recently obtained distribution deal with Atlantic Records, and Testament lived up to their promise while touring America and Europe in support of Anthrax -- then experiencing their peak with the Among the Living album. Recorded on that tour, the Live at Eindhoven EP cemented Testament's standing as champions of thrash's second wave, and despite lacking the consistency of their debut, 1988's sophomore The New Order maintained their forward momentum and led to yet another lengthy world tour that took the band as far as South America. read more at All Music

Over the Wall - Lyrics
I've been a prisoner
Trapped in by fear
Ordered for the rest of my life
Condemned in a jail cell
Ain't seen life in years
Escape is the only way out

Restart my life
Or self destruction
To climb this wall
Of dark construction
Holding the quest for freedom
That beckons me

My sanity is all but gone
My patience is growing very weak
I need to get a hold of myself
I stare at the wall
For the right time has come
Escape must occur on this night

Stand in my way
And I'll run you straight through
There's no one to stop me now
For I'm on the loose
And I'm ready to start
Torture and hell an this town

OVER THE WALL !!!!!!!!

The search will not stop
And hounds will not rest
Till I am back in my cell
For if I am caught,I'll try it again
Over the wall I will go,I will go

13. EXODUS - A LESSON IN VIOLENCE, Album: Bonded by Blood (1983)
Exodus band
Album Notes
Exodus were one of the earliest thrash bands of the 80’s that contributed enormously to the consolidation of the subgenre. They opened for Raven back then, along with Metallica and Anthrax in that legendary tour that introduced a new refreshing violent sound in the US. Among the crowd of those shows, there were many future essential musicians for this music who, inspired by what they heard, would try to make their own stuff. But Exodus were on stage, becoming one of the leading acts of the movement. With the departure of Kirk Hammett, it is said the band took the direction they really wanted from the beginning, changing their sound considerably into what made them one of the most acclaimed groups of the decade. It all started with Bonded By Blood. Read more
Bonded by Blood is their first album, and possibly their best. It contains well known thrash anthems "A Lesson in Violence", a 7 minute epic "Deliver us to Evil", and the ever-so-cool "Bonded by Blood" which contains the insanely cool lyrics "There's blood up on the stage/Bang your head against the stage!" and overall is a thrash classic.

Exodus were:
Paul Baloff - Vocals
Gary Holt - Guitars
Rick Hunolt - Guitars
Rob McKillop - Bass
Tom Hunting - Drums

A Lesson in Violence - Lyrics
If you got something to say
Then come my way
I'm guarded by Satan
I'm riding on Baphomet
I'll teach you a lesson in violence
You won't soon forget

The pleasure of watching you die
Is what I will get

Fight - for what you believe to be right
Crushing with all your might
I laugh at their pitiful cries
They run from the fire in my eyes

Nothing can save them now
paul baloff exodus

You've learned a lesson in violence
Get on your knees and bow
Or learn a lesson in violence
I love to stab my victims
Until they're dead
A knife to the throat
Or a smashing blow to the head
I'm judge and jury
My sentence has just been passed
Step into the circle of hell
If you think you can last

Fight for what you believe to be right
Crushing with all your might
I laugh at their pitiful cries
They run from the fire in my eyes

Nothing can save them now
You've learned a lesson in violence
Get on your knees and bow
Or learn a lesson in violence

14. OBSESSÖR - RETURN OF THE USURPER, Album: Assassins of the Pentagram (2014)
obssesor band
Biography
Emerging from the depths of Hell in 2009, German Metal commando OBSESSÖR didn`t waste much time until their first release „Black Thrashing Blasphemy“ was spat upon mankind in the same year. Back then, the sound was a very harsh glimpse of what would be about to come from these demons in the following years.

The first full length „Blitzkrieg Battalion“ saw the dark of day in 2012 via GoatKult Symphonies and opened more doors for those hellish tyrants, followed by numerous live performances in several countries with many well respected artists and bands, such as Gehennah, Barbatos, Blizzard and
Delirium Tremens.

After a split CD in 2012, „Black Magic Rites“ was released as 7“ vinyl in 2013 on mighty Deathstrike Records, presenting the band more mature and focussed than ever before. The two brand-new assaults, besides two re-recordings of old songs, already marked their slight change to a more aggressive and Speed Metal orientated sound.

To herald the arrival of a new dark age, MetalPunxRex dared to disgorge yet another 7“ vinyl in 2014. This time OBSESSÖR and their brothers in arms HELLHUNT gathered forces to set the night on fire! This mean piece of black wax perfectly prepared humanity for the inexorable darkness: „Assassins Of The Pentagram“, OBSESSÖR`s second full length album was released on Evil Spell Records in summer 2014!!! 10 dark and heavy hymns of pure Black Speed Metal to poison the souls of real Heavy Metal maniacs!! The line-up has been stable throughout the years to this very day, the next live rituals are already planned, there is more to come....INTO SPEED METAL HELL!!!! Read more

15. BLUE CHEER - SUMMER TIME BLUES, Album: Vincebus Eruptum (1968)
16. BLUE CHEER - DOCTOR PLEASE, Album: Vincebus Eruptum (1968)
Blue Cheer
About the band
Personnel:
- Dickie Peterson - bass, vocals
- Paul Whaley - drums
- Leigh Stephens - guitar
San Francisco-based Blue Cheer was what, in the late '60s, they used to call a "power trio": Dickie Peterson (b. 1948, Grand Forks, ND) (bass, vocals), Paul Whaley (drums), and Leigh Stephens (guitar). They played what later was called heavy metal, and when they debuted in January 1968 with the album Vincebus Eruptum and a Top 40 cover of Eddie Cochran's hit "Summertime Blues," they sounded louder and more extreme than anything that had come before them. As it turned out, they were a precursor of much that would come after. Read more.
Doctor Please - Lyrics
Help me please, Doctor
Doctor, won't you please
I need your pain killer, Doc
Shot inside of me.
Well I ain't got no money, child
But I been here before
Cash me in, Fill me up
Why don't you throw me out the door!

Well help me, Doctor
Well why won't you
Why don't you
C'mon and help me please
Won't you please
Whoa, I need your good living
Shot inside of me, Yeah!

I got this funny feeling
Feeling inside my head
Without your good living, Doc
Well I believe that I'll be dead
Doctor don't you turn me down
And won't you hear what I say
I need your good living, Doc
And I need it right away!

Well help me, Doctor
Well why don't you
Why won't you C'mon and help me please
Won't you please
Without your good living
No! What would I be!

Alright!

I got this funny feeling
Feeling inside my head
Without your pain killer, Doc
Well I believe that I'll be dead
Doctor don't you turn me down
Don't burn me away
I need your pain killer, Doc
And I need it right away.

Well help me, Doctor
Well why won't you
Why don't you
C'mon and help me please
Won't you please
Without your pain killer, Doc
Lord! What would I be - Alright, Stick it to me Doctor!

17. PIG DESTROYER - RED TAR, Album: Mass & Volume (2014)
Pig Destroyer mass & volume
About the Album
Recorded during the final hours of the sessions for the ‘Phantom Limb’ lp (Decibel Magazine’s #1 record of 2007) ‘Mass & Volume’ finds Pig Destroyer’s typically break neck speed virtually come to a grinding halt.  2 epic songs of crushing doom prove that Pig Destroyer cannot only dominate all other wickedly fast grind bands, but that when Pig Destroyer does slow, they do slow better than anyone else out there.

Red Tar - Lyrics
In the moment of truth
I stuck with the lie
Got lost in the smoke
Became a slave
To a weak mind

Need to kill a hawk
Need to steal some wings
Blood like red tar

Overdosed on cynicism
Swept under and drowned
Lured in by a siren
I ran my ship aground
Slash of talon
Glimpse of Venus
Tidal waves crashing down

Need to kill a hawk
Need to steal some wings

Grief crawls in the shadow of time
Try to keep in mind
It's all finite.
